Ardmore Memory and Story - The Sea

4. Ardmore Sea Anglers Club
In the 1991 issue of The Ardmore Journal, there are two articles on the Ardmore Sea Anglers Club. One is by Peter Greene, Sea Angling Officer of the Central Fisheries Board; the other is based on records in the Dungarvan Leader with the assistance of Rose Coughlan and Mary Moloney. Both accounts are most interesting.

In 1981, the club celebrated its 21st anniversary and is still going strong. John Cronin and Gerard Mansfield are two members who have achieved international fame. Do consult The Ardmore Journal, available in the library in Dungarvan, if you are not fortunate enough to own a copy.

The present members of the Ardmore Sea Anglers Club are:-
Life President John Keevers
Hon. Chairman John Cronin
Hon. Secretary Mary Moloney
Hon. Treasurer Gerard Mansfield
Ass. Hon. Treasurer John Cronin.

The village and environs are well singposted, indicating the various angling areas and the types of fish generally available in them.
