Tallow : An Outline History

4. St Catherine's - Church Of Ireland
Due to the decline in the Church of Ireland population St. Catherine C.I. Church was closed in the 1960's. The Rector at the time was Canon Foster, and it was with deep regret that the people of Tallow bade farewell to the Canon and his wife.

The Church was a spacious structure: in the aisle was a monument of marble erected by the parishioners to the Rev. H. Brougham who died in 1831. The Church was situated at the South West of the town, between West Street and the New Line.
