In the 1991 issue of The Ardmore Journal, there are two articles on the Ardmore Sea Anglers Club. One is by Peter Greene, Sea Angling Officer of the Central Fisheries Board; the other is based on records in the Dungarvan Leader with the assistance of Rose Coughlan and Mary Moloney. Both accounts are most interesting. In 1981, the club celebrated its 21st anniversary and is still going strong. John Cronin and Gerard Mansfield are two members who have achieved international fame. Do consult The Ardmore Journal, available in the library in Dungarvan, if you are not fortunate enough to own a copy.
