Villiers Stuart - Wyse

West, Robert (d. 1770)
Robert West was one of the most important figures in the development of Irish art.

Villiers Stuart, Henry Windsor (1827-1895)
He was son of Henry Villiers Stuart (1803-1874) Lord Stuart de Decies.

Wyse, Sir Thomas (1791-1862)
He took part in the Catholic Emancipation struggle and became MP in 1830.

Williams, William
A member of the Historical & Archaeological Association of Ireland, Williams also designed the present town Coat of arms for Dungarvan.

Walsh, Richard A. (1916-1993)
Community Activist & Politician, strongly committed to the Fine Gael party.

Ware, Jim (1908-1983)
Ware was the oldest winning captain of an All-Ireland team in 1948 when Waterford defeated Dublin.

Whittle, Nicholas
Nicholas Whittle contributed numerous short stories and activities to many periodicals and newspapers.

Whelan, Donal 'Duck'
Whelan, a hurler of great distinction won an All-Ireland medal in 1959.

Walton, Professor Ernest T.S. (1903-1995)
On 14 April 1932 Walton split the atom with Sir John Cockroft. In recognition of this work they shared the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1951.
