Railway Gates At Carroll's Cross
The railway-crossing gates and gate lodge at Carroll's Cross. The gates are in the open position allowing vehicular traffic to pass freely on the road between Waterford and Dungarvan. It was constructed as part of the Mallow - Waterford railway line. The last train ran on this line on Easter Saturday, 25th March, 1967. The Mallow - Waterford line was Ireland's last non-radial railway served by express trains.
