The Flynn family, descendants of Captain Christopher, captain and part owner of Morning Star Schooner which sank off Boatstrand Pier in 1914, photographed in Abbeyside. (L to R) Liam Flynn, Willie Flynn, William Flynn, John Flynn and Bill Flynn. Willie Flynn was awarded 3 special medals for saving the lives of sailors in the Bay of Biscay (One from the Queen of Holland, The Dutch Government and one from Lloyds which was the equivalent to the Victoria Cross).
