Radio Eireann Question Time
Joe Linnane’s (man holding the paper) famous Radio Eireann Question Time at the Friary Hall in Dungarvan. The man holding the cigarette is Tommy Beston who is sitting beside Eugene O’Callaghan, Fallow, Kilmacthomas and an unidentified lady (both wearing Macra Na Feirme badges). The show was a general knowledge quiz which was aired nationally. The man in the background holding the pole is Mr. Bill Comerford.

Choir At Mount Melleray
This photo was taken in the concert hall at Melleray College in 1954. The man in the army uniform was the conductor of the no 2 Army Band and the choir is made up of seniors students recording a song for Radio Eireann for broadcast on St Patrick’s Day . The full army band were added in the studio in Dublin but there are some on the stage in the background. The song being recorded is ’A Nation Once Again’. On extreme left is Sam Kerr (later a priest in Strabane), fourth from right (front row) is Arthur Bradley, later Monsignor Bradley, next but one to him is Bernard Florin, next to him Stephen Falesch and far right is Terry Gilgallon. The choir was founded by the Melleray piano teacher Dr. Staf Gerbuer Cobh.
