Entrance Lodge, Old Parish
The side and rear facade of an entrance lodge at Old Parish. Built by Henry Barron in 1819 (date on keystone of arch) as a lodge into the main house in the style of a Norman Keep. In 1837 the house was described as ’the marine residence of Henry Winston Barron’. Sir Henry Winston Barron, 1st Bt (1795-1872) was an MP for Waterford.
