A group of unidentified people gathered at the base of The Metal Man Pillar, Tramore. Tradition has it that any unmarried lady who hops around the base of The Metal Man three times, will be married within the year. The Metal Man is one of three pillars (Metal Man in the centre) erected to warn boats and ships coming into Tramore’s shallow waters, to keep out from the dangerous rocks.
