John Walsh (aka ’Doolin’), proprietor of Walsh’s Public House (Davitt’s Quay) photographed at Davitt’s Quay with Oliver Walsh crouching behind him. In the background is Walsh’s public house (right) and Moloney’s Stores. The logs lying along the quayside were a common export from Dungarvan at this time.

The Jamestown

The Jamestown under full sail in Dungarvan Harbour with Helvick Head to the left and Ballinacourty Lighthouse to the right. Built in Dungarvan by Patrick Kidney in 1848. The Annette

The Annette under full sail. Built in Bideford in 1845, official No. 13985, registered at Waterford, Peter Gibbons was her Commander. The ship was wrecked at Youghal on the 17th December 1905. The Ship was owned by Captain Gerald Kirby of Dungarvan.
