Railway Bridge On The River Barrow Near Waterford
The Railway bridge which traverses the River Barrow near Waterford City. It was constructed as part of the Mallow - Waterford railway line. The last train passed over the bridge on Easter Saturday, 25th March, 1967. The Mallow - Waterford line was Ireland’s last non-radial railway served by express trains.

Edward John Murphy, (b. 6/9/1892), centre of image, with group of Royal Engineers at annual training camp at an unidentified location (possibly Jersey), posing by a Bell tent. The unit is recognisable by their cap badges and the knots on the cuffs of their tunics. Edward John Murphy was born in Jersey of Waterford descent. Joined the Royal Munster Fusiliers and served as a machine gun instructor. Fought in WWI and was killed in action 21st March 1918, aged 25 years, in France / Belgium.

Diesel Train At Magnesite Plant, Ballinacourty
Diesel Train stopped at the magnesite factory, Ballinacourty. The plant was built in 1969 by P. J. Hegarty & Sons and was founded by John A. Mulcahy. The factory produced magnesite which was used to make bricks for heavy-duty furnaces. The factory closed in 1982.
