Nora Ni Chinneide, Seanchai
Nora Ni Chinneide of Shanakill, Ring. Her obituary was printed in the Irish Independent Newspaper:
”A recent and unpublished photograph of Nora Ni Chinneide of Shanakill, Ring, Co. Waterford, whose death has been announced in the Irish Independent. All visitors to Ring knew Nora, who was one of the most talented and fluent of the old native speakers of Irish in the district. She had an unending stock of folk lore, old Irish prayers and proverbs, some of which have been published in book form by the Rev. Dr. Sheehan, Coadjutor Archbishop of Sydney, who was one of her pupils”.
